Affiliate disclosure
How our affiliate links work.
Short version: some links on Smart Choice are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the advice in our guides.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a link that contains a tracking code. When a visitor clicks it and completes a purchase on the seller’s website, the affiliate network records the sale and pays a commission to the website that sent the visitor.
Where we use them
Affiliate links appear on our guides, category pages and product recommendations. Where a link is an affiliate link, we aim to make that clear near the link. Affiliate networks may also be used for other partner products we review.
Our promise to readers
- We do not accept payment to change a review or a checklist.
- We do not invent test results, ratings, reviews, or customer quotes.
- We only recommend products that fit the reader described in each guide.
- If a product does not fit most readers, we say so.
What it means for you
Using our links costs you nothing extra. Prices, refund windows, and terms are set by each seller and can change at any time. Always check the seller’s current page before you buy.
